California Urban Forests Council works to serve and expand the health, viability and condition of California’s urban and community forests. The primary emphasis of CaUFC’s work is on advocacy and education.

Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL) promotes volunteerism, strengthens nonprofits, and enhances community leadership in Marin. We strive to develop a healthy and engaged community dedicated to building and preserving the quality of life for all residents.

EARN breaks the cycle of poverty by matching the savings of low-wage workers and helping them invest in assets that build wealth, creating a cycle of prosperity across generations. EARN offers money management training, access to financial services, and 401k-like matched accounts.

Family Service Agency (FSA) is the largest nonprofit provider of affordable counseling, parent education, child abuse prevention, addiction recovery, and 24-hour crisis services. FSA is dedicated to strengthening the health and self-sufficiency of all family members, regardless of their race, culture, or socio-economic status.

FireSafe Marin is dedicated to reducing wildland fire hazard and improving fire-safety awareness in Marin. FireSafe fosters community involvement by building partnerships and providing resources for mitigating fire danger.

Latino Council is a community-based organization assisting service providers, county offices, businesses and community organizations to build their capacity and work more effectively with the Latino community in Marin County and Bay Area.

Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) is a public commission charged with discouraging urban sprawl and encouraging the orderly formation and development of local government agencies.

Marin Child Care Council offers a variety of services for parents, child care providers and the community that are essential to the delivery of quality child care in the county.

Marin Economic Forum is a public-private partnership that works to enhance Marin’s economic vitality, with a focus on targeted industries, as the key to achieving our local civic, environmental, and social goals.

Marin General Services Authority is a joint powers authority created by the cities and county of Marin to offer various public services effectively and efficiently throughout the county.

Marin Joint Powers Authority (JPA) forms the basis of many county-wide, cooperative ventures between cities, towns, special districts, and the county to efficiently administer regional shared programs.

MarinSpace operates a Nonprofit Center at 70 Skyview Terrace in Terra Linda. MarinSpace provides stable, affordable, mission enhancing space to many Marin nonprofits.

Marin Telecommunications Agency is a joint powers authority responsible for franchising and regulating telecommunications services in Marin County, and for setting policies that provide effective and efficient telecommunications to the community.

Marin Workforce Housing Trust is a unique public/private partnership that was created for the purpose of establishing a revolving low-interest fund to support the development of affordable housing within in the County of Marin.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) supports and educates families and individuals who are affected by mental illnesses.

Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) builds communities where young people and their adult allies come together to create positive social change. YLI designs and implements community-based programs that provide youth with leadership skills in the areas of drug and alcohol abuse prevention, philanthropy, and civic engagement.
